Based in Lisle, Illinois, International creates solutions that deliver greater uptime and productivity to our customers throughout the full operation of our commercial vehicles. We build International trucks and engines and IC Bus school and commercial buses, as well as develop Fleetrite aftermarket parts. Join us as a Supplier Quality Engineering Intern!

We're looking for interns pursuing degrees in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science Engineering to join our dynamic Supplier Quality team within Procurement. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to explore innovation and technology while contributing to the systems and processes that ensure product reliability and supplier excellence. You'll work on impactful projects, collaborate across departments, and help strengthen our global supply chain.

Duration: Summer 2027 (12 weeks) Location: Lisle, IL

Responsibilities

• In-depth learning of International business systems and processes
• Work on Quality Management Systems documentation, including develop, implement, maintain, and control process documents.
• Build and manage relationships with end users, cross-functional teams, vendors, and management through collaboration projects.
• Anticipate potential problems, be proactive and manage changes to ensure projects are on time and within budget.
• Work with external suppliers and internal cross functional teams to review PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), continuous improvement projects, and problem solving.
• Maintains consistent and clear communication with executive leadership and key stakeholders on status and resolution of critical supplier issues.

Minimum Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree

OR

• For Legal Jobs: Pursuing a Juris Doctor degree or Doctor of Law degree (J.D.)

Desired Skills

• At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
• Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting mid-to-late May through early August)
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communications skills
• Ability to set priorities, multitask and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of basic manufacturing, computer, and software skills
• Ability to work on MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail, willingness to achieve high standards and continuously improve
• Previous work experience
• Self-starter

Benefits and Compensation

This position offers competitive pay to support employees as they gain real world experience and grow professionally. The hourly pay range is $27-$32 per hour. Benefits offered for intern and co op positions are limited to paid time off (PTO) and paid company holidays during the assignment.
