Description
Our client, a logistics and distribution company, is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to support inventory planning and vendor coordination at their Secaucus facility. This is a contract position suited to a candidate who can manage multiple shipments and purchase orders while keeping stakeholders informed of status changes.
The role works closely with warehouse operations, procurement, and transportation teams to keep goods moving on schedule. The coordinator will track orders from placement through delivery, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records in the company's inventory management system.
This is an on-site position requiring daily coordination with warehouse staff and external carriers. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight delivery windows.
Responsibilities
Track purchase orders from placement through final delivery
Coordinate with carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments
Monitor inventory levels and flag potential stockouts
Reconcile shipping documents against purchase orders and invoices
Communicate delays or discrepancies to vendors and internal teams
Maintain accurate records in the inventory management system
Support monthly cycle counts and inventory audits
Assist with vendor performance tracking and reporting
Requirements
Associate degree or equivalent work experience
2 or more years of experience in supply chain or logistics coordination
Working knowledge of inventory management or ERP systems
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to work on-site in a warehouse-adjacent office environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with freight carriers or third-party logistics providers preferred
