Seeking a strategic expert to spearhead the development, execution, and enhancement of demand forecasting and planning initiatives. This role is pivotal in harmonizing efforts across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain divisions to ensure optimal product availability, streamlined inventory, cost efficiency, and high levels of customer satisfaction. You will steer the demand planning within the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework to refine forecast accuracy, recognize potential risks, identify growth opportunities, and deliver insightful recommendations to drive business expansion.
Key duties include crafting and refining statistically driven and consensus-based demand forecasts, guiding the demand planning aspects of the S&OP/IBP processes, and ensuring cross-functional alignment. You will delve into historical sales data, market trends, and other critical factors while actively collaborating with internal departments to compile and advocate for a unified demand plan. Additionally, you'll monitor forecast accuracy, address any variances, offer strategic inventory advice, mitigate associated risks, and facilitate new product planning.
Your role will also involve closely aligning customer demand with production capabilities, driving improvements in demand planning methodologies, leveraging advanced analytics, and ensuring policies and procedures support scalable business operations. You’ll present comprehensive demand reviews, maintain an up-to-date KPI dashboard, and influence executive decision-making through well-articulated reports and strategies.
Successful candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have at least five years of experience with demand planning. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and data visualization tools is essential. Skills in analytics, problem-solving, and effective communication with the ability to lead cross-functional teams are critical for this position.
