Pay Rate: $55.00/hr

About the Opportunity

Our client, is seeking a Supply Chain Engineer 2 to support supply chain performance initiatives, inventory visibility, process compliance, and continuous improvement efforts. This position will partner with operations, logistics, suppliers, and quality teams to improve key supply chain metrics and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor supply chain performance and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Track part availability and proactively identify material shortages or supply risks.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPAs) to verify process compliance.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain supply chain performance dashboards and reporting metrics.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve delivery, quality, and inventory performance.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure standardized processes are followed across the supply chain network.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain Engineering, Supply Chain Performance, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience with parts tracking and inventory management.
• Experience conducting Layered Process Audits (LPAs).
• Experience driving corrective and preventive actions.
• ERP system experience, preferably SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Experience with KPI reporting, dashboard development, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working for Caterpillar strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting Caterpillar supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or operations teams.
• SAP experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAPA management and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred.
