Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager leads purchasing, production planning, sourcing, inventory control, and logistics to ensure operational efficiency, supplier performance, and on-time customer delivery. This role oversees a team of 7+ employees, drives cost reduction initiatives, and partners with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to optimize supply chain performance.

What You'll Do (The Impact)

• Lead, coach, and develop purchasing and planning teams, driving accountability, operational performance, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee material planning, scheduling, and purchasing activities using MRP/ERP systems to maintain production efficiency and achieve 96%+ on-time customer delivery.
• Manage supplier selection, contract negotiations, long-term agreements, and supplier development programs to improve quality, delivery, and cost.
• Oversee inventory control, stockroom accuracy, inventory turns, and material flow while reducing excess inventory and improving lead times.
• Direct shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations to ensure timely deliveries, product traceability, and efficient material movement.
• Identify opportunities to reduce material and logistics costs, manage departmental budgets and P&L, and deliver monthly inventory reporting.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and IT to resolve supply chain challenges, improve processes, and support business objectives.

What You Bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in purchasing, materials management, production planning, inventory control, or related functions.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience in MAPICS/AS400 is required, including experience processing material transactions and managing planning activities within an ERP/MRP environment.
• Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier performance, inventory optimization, production scheduling, and cost reduction.
• APICS certification strongly preferred.
• Import/export trade compliance experience preferred.
