    Job Description

    About Ironsite

Ironsite is building the intelligence layer for the physical world. We design our own wearable hardware, deploy it alongside craft workers, and transform a shift's footage into a next-morning report. Our internal team and purpose-built models label the data overnight and deliver actionable insights to superintendents by 5 AM.

We are accelerating the speed, efficiency, and predictability of construction, especially for complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects, including data centers, LNG facilities, sports stadiums, hospitals, and other large-scale developments, by training AI models on egocentric construction footage and labor productivity data. We are built with a pro-worker philosophy at our core: we believe technology should empower the workforce, not replace it. We're working to give craft workers and project leaders better visibility into what's happening on-site, while creating a system where the reality of construction and the chaos of each day is finally available to the people running the project.

Ironsite is deployed across several of the largest active construction projects in the country. To date, we've captured more than 100,000 hours of construction footage across seven states, now process thousands of hours of site activity every day, and maintain a worker opt-out rate below two percent. This is enabled by a workforce-first architecture that anonymizes devices, captures no audio, and never releases raw video.

Ironsite is backed by leading investors (8VC, South Park Commons, Saga Ventures) and prominent operators across technology and construction, including Eric Schmidt, Jeff Dean, Jeff Rothschild, Mark Leslie, Scott Wu, Eric Glyman, Karim Atiyeh, Russell Kaplan, and others, alongside over a dozen construction industry operators who have joined us as partners in building this.

Longer term, we believe Ironsite is the foundation for what construction becomes in the next decade. We think the systems we're building are the operating system for how the physical world gets built, and will unlock a fundamentally different way of respect for our workforce. One where craft workers are more valued, more visible, and better paid for the skill they bring, and where the industry finally has the intelligence layer that makes autonomous construction possible. Both futures start with the same foundation.

    The Role

We're hiring a Supply Chain Manager (Buyer / Planner) to own manufacturing and demand planning, materials management, and supply chain operations for Ironsite's hardware.

You'll be one of the earliest supply chain hires at the company, working directly with our contract manufacturer, hardware and firmware engineering, and operations to make sure Ironsite has the parts, the plans, and the ramp readiness to scale from thousands of devices to hundreds of thousands. This is not a role for someone who wants to inherit a mature ERP system and execute against it. It's a role for someone who wants to build the supply chain function from the ground up in a company that's already earning the right to scale.

You'll partner closely with our Global Supply Manager and Manufacturing Engineer to make sure sourcing, manufacturing, and planning are tightly integrated. What you build becomes the foundation the rest of the supply chain organization runs on.

    What You'll Build

    Manufacturing planning and MRP execution.
    • Own the manufacturing planning process end to end, from demand signal through MO release.
    • Manage the material requirements planning (MRP) system, ensuring accurate lead times, safety stock, and reorder points for all key materials and components.
    • Coordinate closely with product management, engineering, and supply chain to translate demand forecasts into executable production plans.
    • Publish and maintain rolling production and demand plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly) that reflect capacity, material availability, and business priorities.

    Materials management and inventory.
    • Manage raw material planning, procurement, and inventory levels to support production ramp, service, and repair needs.
    • Drive inventory optimization initiatives to minimize excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring supply continuity.
    • Manage inventory turns, days on hand, and material flow across our internal facilities, CMs, and 3PLs.
    • Own ECR and ECO impact assessments on inventory and material planning. Coordinate implementation across CMs and internal teams.

    Production operations.
    • Interface with contract manufacturers to align production schedules with demand and material availability.
    • Track and drive production KPIs, including on-time delivery, yield, and lead time.
    • Identify and mitigate supply and production risks proactively, escalating decisively when needed.
    • Support new product introduction (NPI) supply planning, including material readiness for prototype builds and ramp planning for volume production.

    Systems and process.
    • Own the ERP (NetSuite or similar) configuration for supply chain operations, including item master data, supplier master data, BOM management, and work order flow.
    • Build and improve reporting on production, inventory, and materials KPIs so leadership always has real-time visibility into supply chain health.
    • Establish and document the supply chain operating cadence (S&OP, MRP reviews, weekly supply meetings) that will scale with the company.

    What We're Looking For

    • 5-8+ years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing planning, or operations management at a hardware company that scaled from early production to volume.
    • Deep experience with MRP, MPS, and S&OP processes in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar) and demonstrated ability to configure and improve supply chain workflows within those systems.
    • Hands-on experience managing contract manufacturers and coordinating production plans with overseas partners.
    • Strong analytical skills. You're comfortable modeling demand, capacity, and inventory scenarios in spreadsheets or with SQL.
    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
    • Ability to generate clear and concise updates to all levels of internal and external stakeholders, including at the executive level.

    Strongly preferred
    • Experience with wearables, consumer electronics, or ruggedized hardware programs.
    • Prior experience as an early supply chain hire at a hardware startup that scaled from early volumes to full production. You've been through the zero-to-scale journey and know what breaks first.
    • Familiarity with contract manufacturing partners in Taiwan, mainland China, or Southeast Asia.
    • Experience with battery pack and optical subassemblies.
    • Comfort with international travel to CMs and suppliers as needed.

    Nice to have
    • Proficiency with PLM systems (Arena, Propel, or similar).
    • Mandarin or Vietnamese language proficiency.
    • Experience with 3PL management and logistics network design.
    • Familiarity with lean and continuous improvement methodologies.

    What Success Looks Like

    • First 90 days. You know our full BOM, current supply base, CM operations, and production ramp plan cold. You've stood up a reliable weekly supply and production review cadence, embedded with the team during proto build, and are driving our CTB status for EVT.
    • First 6 months. You've built and are running our MRP and S&OP processes end to end. You’ve synced into the deployment ops processes and own allocation planning. We are CTB for EVT.
    • First 12 months. You're the internal authority on how Ironsite plans, procures, and produces. Our supply chain is resilient, scalable, and cost-effective. When we scale to hundreds of thousands of units, we're set up to do it because of the systems and processes you put in place.

    Location, Compensation, & Perks

    • San Francisco Bay Area (on-site)
    • Base salary: $125k-$150k per year, commensurate with experience
    • Meaningful early-stage equity
    • Full benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with 6% match
    • Daily catered breakfast and lunch
    • Office in San Francisco, next to Oracle Park and the Caltrain

Final compensation is determined by experience, location, and level.

    Why This Role

Every category-defining hardware company has a supply chain leader who made it possible to scale. Not because they had the fanciest ERP, but because they built the planning discipline, the CM relationships, and the systems that prevented shortages, excess inventory, and production delays that would have killed the ramp.

Ironsite is at that moment. We have the product, the customers, the funding, the manufacturing partnerships, and a hardware roadmap that scales into hundreds of thousands of units. What we need now is a supply chain leader who will build the planning and operations foundation that lets us get there without losing time, margin, or trust with the customers waiting on our hardware.

If you've spent your career building supply chains at hardware companies that scaled, and you're ready to do it again from the ground up in a company that's already earning the right to scale, we want to talk.
