ITnova is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Technician (HAZMAT Coordinator) to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for managing hazardous material inventory, storage, tracking, and compliance activities to support safe and efficient maintenance operations. The ideal candidate has experience with HAZMAT management, supply operations, and environmental health and safety requirements, with a strong understanding of inventory control, documentation, and regulatory compliance. This role plays a critical part in ensuring maintenance personnel have the materials needed to support mission readiness while maintaining the highest standards of safety, accountability, and environmental compliance in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manages hazardous material inventory, storage, issue, turn-in, and tracking in support of maintenance operations.
- Ensures compliance with CNAFINST 4790.2, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements, and hazardous material handling procedures.
- MaintainsHAZMAT records, shelf-life controls, issue logs, and related documentation.
- Conducts inspections of hazardous material storage areas and ensures proper labeling, segregation, and accountability.
- Supports maintenance operations by ensuring required materials are available, serviceable, and properly documented.
- Coordinates disposal, turn-in, and replacement of hazardous materialsin accordance withapplicable regulations and procedures.
- Provides guidance to maintenance personnel on proper handling, storage, and use of hazardous materials, asrequired.
- Assistswith internal audits, compliance inspections, and corrective action follow-up.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in supply, warehouse, logistics, or hazardous material management; aviation maintenance support experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling, storage, issue, and disposal requirements isrequired.
- Must be able tomaintainaccurate records and documentation.
- Must be aU.S. citizen, able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
- Must be able to read and apply directives, labels, technical guidance, and forms associated with hazardous material management.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
- Able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required.
- Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
- Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
- Must be able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required.
- If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate powered industrial trucks.
- If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 to 4 hours.
- If required, must be able to perform confined-space activities.
- Travel may be required.
