Broadacres Housing Association are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals with learning disabilities and mental health. 
  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, household chores, and prompt with personal hygiene
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each customer
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources and services, such as healthcare, education, and recreation
  • Facilitate skill-building activities to enhance independence and self-confidence
  • Document client progress and report any concerns or changes in behaviour to supervisor
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including social workers, therapists, and healthcare providers

Qualifications:

  • A relevant Level 2 qualification
  • Previous experience working with individuals with learning disabilities in a support or care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
