VSH Roseville provides 24/7 emergency care alongside specialty services, including Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Diagnostic Imaging. You'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse surgical caseload while partnering with emergency clinicians, specialists, and experienced technical staff to provide comprehensive patient care.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will

• Diagnose and treat surgical conditions across a varied referral caseload.

• Perform advanced soft tissue and/or orthopedic procedures consistent with your training and clinical interests.

• Partner with Emergency & Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Diagnostic Imaging to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

• Communicate clearly with referring veterinarians, clients, and the hospital team throughout the patient journey.

• Collaborate with experienced veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver high-quality perioperative care.

• Contribute to clinical case discussions, knowledge sharing, and continued development of the surgical service.

• Help advance evidence-based medicine and a culture of teamwork, mentorship, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.

• Board certification in Veterinary Surgery (DACVS) or completion of an approved surgical residency with eligibility for board certification.

• Strong clinical judgment, surgical skills, and commitment to evidence-based medicine.

• Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.

• A commitment to compassionate patient care and positive relationships with clients and referring veterinarians.

• Interest in contributing to a collaborative specialty environment and supporting the ongoing growth of the service.
