Surgery RN Circulator Part Time

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Surgery RN Circulator (Part Time) to support safe, efficient surgical care by coordinating key perioperative activities and maintaining a strong focus on patient safety. This position is scheduled for day shift, 3 days per week, in Corydon, IN.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare the operating room and verify equipment, supplies, and sterility
• Circulate during procedures, anticipate team needs, and support patient positioning
• Document care accurately in EHR and surgical documentation systems
• Promote adherence to sterile technique and established safety protocols

Required qualifications/skills:

• Active Indiana RN license
• 1+ years of perioperative nursing/OR experience
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Current BLS and ACLS certification

You'll start your day by reviewing the surgical schedule, confirming case details, and aligning plans with the team. Between cases, you'll reset the room, update documentation, and coordinate next steps so transitions stay smooth and patients remain informed. Throughout the shift, you'll communicate calmly with surgeons, anesthesia, and support staff, staying attentive to timing, supplies, and safety checkpoints. The day closes with final chart completion and readiness checks that set up the next shift for success.
