Job Summary

Job Shift: Days

Job Type: Full Time

The Surgical Coordinator assists with and performs routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practice and policy and procedures directed by the department supervisor. Duties include scheduling of procedures for surgery, pain management and endoscopy, maintenance of surgeon preference cards, post-operative data entry, chart audits and daily patient charge reconciliation.

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
 

Responsibilities

• Ensures the accuracy of all patient charges.
• Maintenance of all surgeon preference cards.
• Ensures the accuracy of implant pricing and maintain logs.
• Implements and maintains Compliance in area of specialty within Department/unit/division.

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

Education:    

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Proficient in word and excel programs.
• Current BLS certification.

Minimum Experience

• Clinical experience of at least one year or graduate of an approved Technical program.
