Job Title: Surgical Recruiter

Location: Remote (Central Time Zone Required)

Employment Type: Contract Only

Work Arrangement: Fully Remote

Compensation: $30.00–$40.00 per hour


Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Surgical Recruiter to support hiring efforts across multiple ambulatory surgery centers and hospital-based healthcare facilities. This fully remote contract opportunity is ideal for a high-volume healthcare recruiter with strong sourcing skills, multi-site recruiting experience, and the ability to manage a large requisition workload in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for surgical centers, hospitals, and healthcare service lines.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and hiring priorities.

  • Source active and passive candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, ATS databases, referrals, and networking.

  • Screen candidates for qualifications, compensation expectations, and organizational fit.

  • Coordinate interviews and maintain communication throughout the hiring process.

  • Present and negotiate employment offers.

  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the ATS.

  • Monitor open requisitions and provide hiring updates to leadership.

  • Build talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill and specialized healthcare positions.

  • Represent the organization at job fairs, networking events, and community recruiting initiatives.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare recruiting experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of recruiting experience supporting hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers (ASC), or healthcare organizations.

  • Multi-site recruiting experience required.

  • Experience managing 60+ requisitions simultaneously.

  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

  • Strong passive candidate sourcing and internet recruiting skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for surgical services, ASC environments, or hospital-based clinical positions.

  • Experience with workforce planning and recruitment marketing strategies.

  • Knowledge of healthcare labor markets and recruiting best practices.
