About the Position Position/Specialty: OR CST Shift: 4 x10s (6:30a 5:00p) On-call REQ: 1 week day call shift a week in a 6-week schedule Weekend REQ: usually none, we have a weekend shift but if they need to be off there may be a need # of ORs:9 Will this traveler float between service lines (Y/N) Yes Floating Req to Sister Facilities: (Y/N): NO Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1+ years of experience as long as they have lots of general surgery experience. Experience with Ortho, Neuro, Eyes and Robots required. First-timers accepted (Y/N): Yes National Certs REQ: BLS, NBSTSA. MUSC does NOT accept NCCT Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Requires managers approval upon request. Dependent on unit's needs Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
