Surgical Services - CMC - Registered Nurse - Cayuga Medical Center

Required Skills:
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain licensure
Proven experience in surgical nursing or perioperative care
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as ACLS preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
Specialized training in perioperative nursing or surgical technology
Bilingual proficiency to support diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or diploma in nursing
Minimum of 2 years of perioperative or surgical nursing experience
Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is a plus
Other Requirements:
Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule with days on a rotating basis, including weekends and holidays
Willingness to participate in on-call duties
Valid nursing license and relevant certifications up to date
Commit to maintaining rigorous infection control and safety protocols
