Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $38.24 $42.24 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 3x12 Days, 11:00 23:00; may need to cover one night shift within the contract as needed
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Surgical Tech travel/contract opportunity at a Short Term Acute Care facility in Santa Rosa, CA. The position requires experience in outpatient, community hospital, Ortho, Neuro, and Vascular cases, with a start date of ASAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties for Outpatient, Community Hospital, Ortho, Neuro, and Vascular surgical cases (experience required)
• Perform scrub duties for Inpatient and Trauma cases (preferred)
• Work 3x12-hour day shifts (11:00 23:00), with the possibility of covering one night shift as needed within the contract
• Meet weekend requirements: 3 weekends per schedule
• Fulfill on-call obligations: one weeknight per week, and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday from 0700 0700 with a 20-minute response time

Required Skills

• Experience in Outpatient surgical cases
• Experience in Community Hospital surgical setting
• Experience in Orthopedic (Ortho) surgical cases
• Experience in Neuro surgical cases
• Experience in Vascular surgical cases
• Availability to work weekends (3 per schedule)
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations (one weeknight per week; every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday, 20-minute response time)
• BLS certification required
• Charting experience (Epic)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Inpatient surgical cases
• Experience in Trauma surgical cases

Education Requirements

• Surgical Technologist certification or equivalent credential required
• BLS required
• National certification not required
• Pending State License not accepted

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Tech required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted
