Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Surgical Technology
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar medical setting
- Basic analytical skills and good organizational abilities
- Strong time management skills and self-direction
- Demonstrated good judgment in high-pressure situations
- Certification in Surgical Technology and BLS through the American Heart Association
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with endoscope disinfection and quality control measures
- Additional certifications or training in specialized surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- Two or more years of hands-on experience in surgical environments, including assisting physicians and handling surgical equipment
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work a 10-hour shift from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Physically capable of exerting up to 100 pounds occasionally and 10-20 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work in environments with exposure to blood, body fluids, and potential communicable diseases
- Valid BLS certification and surgical technology certification are mandatory
- Adaptability to changing procedures and environments
- Commitment to compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards
