Pay Rate: $60/hour
Shift / Hours:
• Night Shift — 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 × 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
• Orientation Week: 3 × 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Monday–Wednesday)
• 2 weekends per month
• No call requirements
• Holidays: May be required during contract
Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist will support Level I Trauma inpatient operating rooms within the West Main OR, a 10-room surgical suite handling high-acuity and complex procedures. This role requires advanced surgical support experience across trauma, transplants, neuro, and orthopedic specialties, supporting multidisciplinary surgical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Scrub and/or circulate for general surgery, trauma, robotics, and transplant procedures
• Support high-complexity cases including neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma, spine, ENT (head & neck), and major reconstruction
• Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to surgical safety standards
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to support optimal patient outcomes
Required Skills & Qualifications
• NBSTSA National Certification (Required)
• Proven experience in Neuro, Ortho Trauma, and Kidney Transplant cases
• Experience scrubbing and/or circulating in Level I Trauma OR settings
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
Preferred Skills
• Experience with robotics and organ procurement
• Exposure to bariatric, ENT, spine, GYN, urology, and plastic reconstruction procedures
Additional Information & Requirements
• No local travelers accepted (must reside more than 50 miles from facility)
• Travelers who worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health as perm or per diem within the last 6 months are not eligible
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
• Orientation occurs weekly (Mondays, excluding holidays)
• Nurse Manager will interview and extend offers
