The monitor shows a pressure dip nobody else in the room has noticed yet. You catch it, call it out, and the whole surgical team is already adjusting before it becomes a problem. Twenty minutes later you're in recovery, keeping that patient warm and comfortable until he's ready to go home. That's a surgery day at Hoboken Vets Animal Clinic, where technicians are trusted to carry real responsibility alongside our doctors. We're hiring a full-time or part-time Surgical Veterinary Technician. Surgical experience is a must, including hands-on surgical assisting and anesthesia monitoring.

About the Practice
We opened in 2019 and care for pets in Hoboken, Jersey City, Union City, Edgewater, Weehawken, and beyond. We specialize in internal medicine, dentistry, surgery, and pain management, with digital X-ray, wellness care, diagnostics, and preventive medicine behind them. We believe in a fear free environment, with separate dog and cat waiting rooms and science-driven care at every visit. We work like true teammates. Coverage, collaboration, and open communication are part of our daily workflow, and busy days don't break us because we work together. What You'll Help Make Possible

• Safe anesthesia and smooth surgeries, because someone is watching every vital sign and calling changes early
• Surgical teams who can focus on the procedure, with instruments prepped and a sterile environment ready

• Accurate, thorough medical records that support every handoff

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Hands-on surgical assisting experience, including assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
• Anesthesia monitoring experience, including vital signs
• 3-5 years of experience in a veterinary setting
• Experience managing anesthesia and perioperative care independently
• Availability for 10-hour day shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays

Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience and role alignment.
