Survey CAD Technician / Survey Designer

Location: Hybrid – In office Monday, remote the remainder of the week

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Survey CAD Designer to support a mix of office and field surveying projects. This role is well suited for a surveying professional with 3–5 years of experience who is proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and enjoys working across transportation, utility, land development, and energy-related projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare survey plans, plats, as-built drawings, exhibits, and mapping deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Process and interpret field data collected using total stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, terrestrial laser scanners, and UAV or LiDAR platforms.
• Support boundary, topographic, construction, right-of-way, and as-built surveys.
• Coordinate with survey crews, engineers, project managers, and other technical staff.
• Review field notes, survey data, and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with field surveying assignments as project needs require.
• Maintain organized project files and support multiple projects and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of combined office and field surveying experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing survey plans, plats, and mapping deliverables.
• Familiarity with modern survey equipment and field data processing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and survey information.
• Experience supporting PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, or similar transportation projects is preferred.
