Position: Civil / Survey Engineer — Vulcan
Type:Contract
Compensation:$45–$60/hour
Location:Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Develop evaluation tasks from real site, civil, and survey work. Tasks include civil grading plan review, erosion and sediment control plan review, and stormwater design plan review.
• Author tasks and correct answers. Ensure a second reviewer checks them before shipping.
• Review complex engineering documents for alignment with domain principles and methodologies.
• Provide structured feedback to improve AI model performance in the construction and property field.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while enhancing AI model outputs.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3+ years in civil engineering, land development, or surveying.
• PE in civil engineering or PLS for survey and mapping work.
• Experience with US standards and state DOT or local land development practices.

Preferred

• 8+ years of experience in the field.
• Experience mentoring EITs or survey crews.

Compensation & Legal

• Hourly contractor
• Paid hourly at $45 to $60 depending on experience.
