Location: Pleasantville, NY | Full-Time | $35–$37/hour DOE

About the Opportunity

We are an established land surveying firm serving clients throughout Westchester County and the surrounding area. Our projects span municipal infrastructure, boundary and topographic surveying, construction layout, real estate development, and other specialized surveying services.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced Survey Party Chief to join one of our field crews.

You will work as part of a two-person survey crew, leading daily field operations and working alongside an Instrument Operator. This is an opportunity for an experienced Party Chief who wants consistent work and exposure to a wide variety of surveying projects.

Types of Projects

Our field crews work on:

• Boundary surveys
• Topographic surveys
• Construction stakeout and layout
• Municipal right-of-way surveys
• Engineering and infrastructure projects
• Real estate development surveys
• FEMA elevation certificates
• Environmental and wetland surveys
• Bathymetric surveys
• Other land surveying and mapping projects

Approximately 40% of our work is municipal, with the remainder primarily consisting of boundary, topographic, and construction/layout projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a two-person survey field crew
• Perform boundary and topographic surveys
• Perform construction stakeout and layout
• Set and locate survey monuments and property evidence
• Collect accurate field data
• Operate total stations, GNSS/GPS, data collectors, and related equipment
• Perform field calculations and verify measurements
• Read and interpret survey plans and property information
• Communicate field conditions and project requirements to the office
• Provide direction and training to less-experienced field personnel
• Maintain surveying equipment
• Follow established field procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

• Several years of professional land surveying field experience
• Previous Party Chief experience preferred
• Strong understanding of boundary and topographic surveying
• Construction layout/stakeout experience preferred
• Ability to independently operate modern surveying equipment
• Strong understanding of surveying field procedures
• Ability to read plans and understand project requirements
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license

Schedule & Compensation

• $35–$37/hour, depending on experience
• Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Approximately one Saturday per month may be requested based on workload
• Crews report to the office each morning, travel to the job site in a company vehicle, and return to the office at the end of the day
