This is a rare opportunity for a motivated Survey Technician or Party Chief to step into a long-term leadership track. You’ll be working directly under a highly experienced Survey Department Manager who plans to retire in the next 12–18 months, and the company wants someone in place to learn their systems, standards, and workflow now, before he transitions out.
What You’ll Do
Work in the field as part of a two-person crew (not solo) on a mix of private development and public utility projects
Operate Leica robotic total stations, GPS, and aerial drones
Perform boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys
Learn the company’s systems and gradually assume more project and team responsibility
Who You Are
3 to 5+ years of experience in the field (Survey Tech or Party Chief level)
Committed to becoming a Licensed Land Surveyor in New Jersey
Comfortable with robotic instruments, GPS, and drone survey methods
Reliable, field-focused, and looking for a long-term home with mentorship
