submit a portfolio of work.Build thought‑leadership programs positioning Samba executives as authorities on TV measurement, AI, and advertising effectiveness.Leverage Samba's data goldmine to create industry reports and content that earns independent press coverage.Develop a website strategy that reflects innovation and optimizes impact and conversion.Translate technical complexity into clear narratives for advertisers, agencies, publishers, and consumer audiences.Build a multi‑year brand architecture plan that delivers a durable identity across B2B and consumer markets.Strategic Leadership & Vision (20%)Define and own Samba's comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives, revenue targets, and product roadmap.Drive brand positioning as the independent, trusted leader in TV viewership data, AI‑powered measurement, and cross‑screen advertising.Develop go‑to‑market strategies for product launches, new markets, and strategic initiatives.Shape market narratives around TV evolution, streaming economics, AI in advertising, and privacy‑safe data activation.Report to the CEO and influence company strategy as a key member of the executive leadership team.Build and execute a strategic roadmap that balances quick wins with long‑term brand building.AI‑Powered Marketing Innovation (20%)Own Samba's AI marketing agenda and develop AI‑native workflows across content production, creative iteration, campaign optimization, personalization, and audience targeting.Identify and deploy best generative AI, automation, and agentic tools; replace them when improvements arise.Use AI to scale marketing output without proportionally expanding headcount.Develop Samba's own AI‑powered content and insights products as marketing assets.Share learnings openly across the organization.Stay ahead of AI trends in marketing technology and drive continuous experimentation.Position Samba as a thought leader on AI in advertising.Team Building & Operations (10%)Build and lead a high‑performing marketing organization that is creative‑first and metrics‑aware.Hire A+ talent across brand, content, creative, product marketing, digital marketing, and marketing operations.Implement operational excellence: project management systems and cross‑functional workflows.Manage marketing technology stack and optimize tools for automation, analytics, attribution, and campaign execution.Collaborate with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Data Science, and Engineering teams.Allocate the marketing budget strategically, re‑allocating based on performance and ROI.External Representation & Industry Presence (10%)Represent Samba at key industry events such as CES, Cannes Lions, Advertising Week, and IAB.Speak at conferences, participate in panels, and contribute to industry conversations.Build relationships with key industry analysts (Forrester, Gartner, eMarketer).Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry organizations and ecosystem players.Plan Samba's event presence 12+ months in advance.Revenue Growth & Performance Marketing (10%)Support revenue‑impacting metrics in partnership with Sales: pipeline contribution, CAC, and marketing ROI.Optimize the funnel from brand awareness through demand generation, lead nurturing, and sales enablement.Partner closely with Sales leadership to ensure marketing‑sales alignment and lead quality.Drive account‑based marketing strategies targeting enterprise accounts and agency holding companies.Implement data‑driven decision frameworks using marketing automation and attribution modelling.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEProven track record in B2B enterprise marketing to advertisers, agencies, publishers, or technology platforms.Deep ad‑tech or martech industry experience.Demonstrated revenue impact with quantifiable examples of customer acquisition, pipeline growth, revenue contribution, and marketing ROI.Team building expertise: scaling marketing teams from 5–10 to 30+ people while maintaining high performance and culture.C‑level presence: comfortable presenting to boards, investors, customers, and at major industry conferences.Creative excellence: exceptional storytelling ability, portfolio of compelling campaigns, strong writing skills, visual communication prowess, brand architecture expertise, and content strategy mastery.Metrics & operations expertise: data‑driven decision making, proficiency with Google Analytics, marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot), BI tools (Tableau, Looker), attribution modelling, KPI development, budgeting, and a strong POV on metrics.Cultural fit: thrives in fast‑paced chaos, bias toward action, organized under pressure, high emotional intelligence, resilience, collaborative leadership style, hustle and hunger, and an enterprise‑grade polish with consumer ease.Specialized skills: PR background strongly preferred, sales acumen, event marketing expertise, strategic partnerships, ABM experience, B2B SaaS expertise, and AI marketing capabilities.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSSamba offers a base salary of $250K–$400K per year for roles in New York City or California. Compensation varies with location, experience, and performance.
