Job Title: Chem Room Technician
Pay Rate: $21.00
Schedule: Mon-Fri, with weekend rotation
2nd shift 2pm to 10:30pm
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
Employee is responsible to process customer supplied parts within the chemical process (etching) & detailing department according to known processes as specified by work order traveler instructions.
Prepare the part(s) as the final preparation before clean room packaging. Be able to handle each part and lift up to sixty (40) pounds without damaging.
Ability to make judgment calls and recognize incorrect processes to avoid damage to part(s).
Understand and follow operating procedures as assigned to the team to assure consistent, reliable, and timely processing of parts within this team.
Work with other team members to assist with chemical process & detailing process or problems.
Knowledge of where incorrectly processed parts should go along with a prepared Defect Material Report.
Follow up on returned parts for final corrected processing and closing of travelers.
Possess various mechanical skills and have a feel for scrubbing and power washing. Work with buffing equipment, air drying, chemical soaking & wiping, stain removing, and bath preparations. Utilize chemicals, ultra sound, and hot tank preparations.
Job Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds without an assistance
Willing and able to work non-production hours as necessary
Standing for long periods of time
Ability to read and comprehend internal documents such as work order travelers, inventory records, logs and general company records
Basic computer skills.
Basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication skills in order to process inventory, counting, time allocation, and work hours.
