Swiss Lathe/Programmer/Setup

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled CNC Swiss lathe set up/operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating Swiss CNC machines and possess strong technical skills. As a CNC setup/operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Swiss lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. Duties: - Program, set up, and operate Swiss CNC lathes to produce parts - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders - Select and install appropriate tooling for each job - Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency - Make adjustments to machine settings as needed - Perform routine maintenance on machines - Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments - Maintain a clean and organized work area. Be able to work independently in a small shop environment. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience programing, setting up, and operating CNC lathes - Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering drawings - Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) - Familiarity with CAM programming is a plus - Strong understanding of CNC programming and machining principles - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations - Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred - Experience in AS9100D quality systems and ITAR regulations preferred-Ability to operate a forklift for material handling purposes - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities Benefits: - Competitive pay based on experience - Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company.
