System Administrator

Job Overview:

Seeking for a System Administrator responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software and related infrastructure. This role ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Systems administration engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance, and research and development to ensure continual innovation.
• Install and configure servers, hardware, peripherals, services, directories, and storage according to standards and project requirements.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
• Conduct regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions.
• Perform daily backup operations and regular file archival and purge as necessary.
• Manage user accounts and provide Tier III support as needed.
• Diagnose and recover from hardware or software failures, coordinating with impacted parties.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades regularly and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
• Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures and perform periodic performance reporting.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.

Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience required.
• Responds to support requests from Tier 1 - 3 with exceptional customer service.
• Communicates effectively with teammates and customers of varying technical expertise.
• Configures and deploys Linux (REDHAT) and Windows Operating Systems Servers.
• Maintains project and architecture documentation and inventory records.
• Monitors system resources for anomalies and resolves connection issues.
• Supports cybersecurity controls and defenses, threat hunting, and mitigation.
• Manages time and resource constraints.
