Jefferson is seeking Systems Engineer to support the USAF 505th Test and Training Group.
This role will be Onsite at Hurlburt Field, Florida
This candidate will upgrade, integrate, install, configure, test, maintain, dismantle, and turn in data and video communication networks, both hardware and software. These responsibilities include understanding of the interconnectivity of wireless, fiber optics, coaxial, copper (twisted pair), broadband, and baseband.
The annual salary range for this position is $105,000.00-$120,000.00. The annual salary range is negotiable. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Responsibilities:
§ Mission System Integration learn the architecture of the Falconer Weapon System. Responsible for developing and executing strategies to integrate its current and emerging technologies with the core infrastructure platform.
§ Virtual Infrastructure Management: design, deploy, and manage the enterprise virtualization environment (e.g., VMware vSphere/ESXi, Omnissa Horizon/VDI). This includes hypervisor management, VM lifecycle automation, resource optimization, and virtual network configuration.
§ Compute & OS Management: Engineer and manage base server images for both physical and virtual machines, including OS hardening, kernel tuning, and automated patching.
§ Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, manage, and version the low-level infrastructure using tools like Terraform, focusing on repeatable and secure provisioning across physical and virtual landscapes.
§ Container Orchestration: Own the foundational layers of our Kubernetes clusters, focusing on the worker nodes, Container Network Interface (CNI), Container Storage Interface (CSI), and overall cluster performance to support mission applications running on virtualized infrastructure.
§ Platform Stability: Act as the escalation point for the most complex infrastructure issues, troubleshooting problems that span from hardware and hypervisors to the application layer.
