    Systems Administrator 2 - Windows & UNIX Mission Operations

    Location: Annapolis Junction, MD
    Position Type: Full-Time
    Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph

    About the Role Navius Technologies is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator 2 to provide Tier I and Tier II IT support in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical troubleshooting skills, deep experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems, and a proactive approach to optimizing system performance and reliability. This position supports critical operations and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
    • Manage daily configuration, operation, and monitoring of IT systems across client/server/storage/network devices and mobile platforms
    • Support end users with system access, usage guidance, and general IT support
    • Optimize system operations and resource utilization through proactive monitoring and analysis
    • Perform system capacity planning and implement enhancements to improve reliability and performance
    • Troubleshoot issues and provide in-depth analysis and technical feedback to agency management and internal customers
    • Remain engaged throughout the resolution of dispatch system and hardware issues
    • Configure and manage both UNIX and Windows operating systems, including installation and maintenance of OS software
    • Maintain system and network integrity while implementing improvements to infrastructure and operations
    • Participate in escalation protocols and communicate status updates effectively to stakeholders and leadership
    Qualifications
    • 10+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
    • Demonstrated expertise in UNIX and Windows operating systems, configuration, and troubleshooting
    • Proven ability to support and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and mobile devices
    • Strong understanding of system performance tuning, capacity planning, and diagnostics
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, users, and mission stakeholders
    • Must hold an active TS/SCI with Polygraph
