Our client is seeking an experienced End User Compute Engineer to support and enhance enterprise desktop, laptop, virtual desktop, and mobile device environments. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern endpoint management technologies while driving automation, security, compliance, and user experience improvements across a large-scale IT environment.

Overview

The End User Compute Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining endpoint management solutions across physical, virtual, and mobile platforms. This role plays a critical part in ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of end-user computing services while supporting ongoing modernization and automation initiatives.

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated End User Compute Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Windows administration, and endpoint automation. The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise desktop environments, virtual desktop infrastructure, and device compliance while collaborating with technical teams to improve operational efficiency, security, and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain Microsoft Intune solutions, including device enrollment, policy management, and application deployment.

Implement and manage endpoint security policies, compliance standards, and operating system configurations.

Develop and maintain system baselines and endpoint management documentation.

Package, deploy, and manage applications across MECM/SCCM and Intune environments.

Monitor and validate vulnerability remediation efforts and endpoint compliance.

Support and maintain Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.

Manage endpoint configurations across desktop, laptop, mobile, and virtual desktop environments.

Assist with administration and support of VMware Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure.

Support application delivery and maintenance within Instant Clone environments.

Manage device inventory and asset tracking processes.

Develop and utilize automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and consistency.

Collaborate with support teams to communicate changes and support deployment activities.

Create system design documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards.

Provide technical support and guidance for enterprise endpoint management solutions.

Support user communication efforts related to major technology changes and initiatives.

Perform additional duties and project work as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Relevant industry certifications preferred.

5+ years of experience administering Microsoft Intune in an enterprise environment.

10+ years of experience managing Windows systems using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), SCCM, Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM), or related tools.

10+ years of experience supporting Windows-based systems in a corporate environment.

5+ years of experience utilizing PowerShell for automation, administration, and customization.

5+ years of experience deploying and managing Windows operating systems using imaging technologies.

5+ years of experience managing Windows environments through Group Policy and Intune policy management.

5+ years of experience supporting Windows systems within virtual desktop environments.

5+ years of experience administering VMware Horizon environments and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).

Experience supporting desktop, laptop, mobile, and virtual desktop technologies.

Experience with endpoint security, compliance management, vulnerability remediation, and software deployment.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, MECM/SCCM, Windows administration, and endpoint lifecycle management.

Experience developing automation solutions using PowerShell or other scripting languages.

Experience creating technical and system design documentation.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated customer service and end-user support experience.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
