Job Summary: Systems Analyst 1 - CMDB Specialist (Austin, TX - Onsite)

Join a dynamic IT team in Austin as a Systems Analyst 1 focused on Configuration Management Database (CMDB) operations. This contract opportunity is ideal for detail-oriented professionals seeking hands-on experience with ServiceNow, ITSM processes, and IT asset management. You will play a critical part in ensuring the integrity and performance of the CMDB, empowering broader IT operations and advancing your career in an innovative and collaborative environment.
[Responsibilities]
- Oversee and deliver CMDB support services in alignment with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Execute day-to-day administration, maintenance, and health checks of the CMDB, including ServiceNow Discovery and data cleanup
- Manage and report on the CMDB Health Dashboard to ensure optimal performance and data reliability
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot custom and out-of-the-box integrations
- Review and analyze incident resolutions, change dispositions, and service outages related to CMS issues
- Guarantee CMDB data availability and accuracy to support ITSM processes such as Change, Incident, and Problem Management
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Minimum 3 years' experience in IT Configuration Management Health and Data Management
- 3 years' hands-on experience with CMDB operations
- Proven communication skills (written and verbal) for technical and business audiences
- 2 years' experience with IT Asset Management and Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- 2 years' exposure to IT Service Management and ITIL practices
- At least 1 year of ServiceNow Discovery and IT Operations Management experience
- Familiarity with CMDB CSDM, CI relationships, Ownership Process, Asset Lifecycle, and Transform Maps
- Relevant certifications: CMDB Analysis, Reporting, PA, CSA, Discovery
[Preferred Skills]
- 3+ years' experience in IT Service Management, ITIL practices
- 2 years' demonstrated attention to detail
- Understanding of vendor, contract, and software license data relationships within CMDB
- ITIL Foundations or Practitioner Certification
