Systems Analyst

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7am-4pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Systems analyst, IT Analyst, or Systems Implementation Specialist? Our client is seeking a technically skilled, detail oriented professional to support their department's technology systems and IT projects. This role focuses on maintaining reliable systems, coordinating network and application implementations, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping the department improve its technology infrastructure.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with an understanding of how technology impacts departments operations, budgets, and long term planning. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys solving problems, coordinating with vendors, and supporting technology projects within a local government agency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing network, systems, and application projects from initial setup through testing and go live
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external technology vendors, coordinating application support, system updates, troubleshooting, and project changes
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain client/server operating systems, software, hardware, and system updates
- Troubleshoot system errors, apply patches, resolve technical issues, and monitor network and system performance
- Support system migrations, application integrations, user acceptance testing (UAT), production testing, and implementation activities.
- Develop and maintain technical standards, operating procedures, system documentation, and user training materials
- Assist with technology-related budget, inventory, and operational analysis as needed
- Stay current with IT best practices, emerging technologies, and opportunities for process improvement

You will be supporting a government agency in Modesto, California.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT analyst, systems implementation, business systems, technical support, and related role
- Hands on networking experience with TCP/IP, ethernet, routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Active Directory, and Windows Server
- Experience supporting the full systems implementation lifecycle, including configuration, testing, migration, go live and end user training
- Experience coordinating external vendors and supporting third party application integrations
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical procedures, user documentation, training materials, and leadership briefings
- Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate competing priorities, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders
