--- Project Description ---
The position will be responsible for creating and updating Client reporting
functions to comply with new Federal Client reporting requirements. This
includes updating system-generated reports as a result of OSC audits,
addressing reporting backlogs, refining current caseload data reports to
cover on-going cases, adding Client data to the Commissioners
Dashboard, and creating new reports for payee, referrals, case
timeliness, completion, clients, performance (using NAMRS data), as
well as other LDSS requests. Reporting capabilities will also be
enhanced to allow for real-time report generation.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. "Work collaboratively with OREPA and Client staff and participate in
business requirement gathering for BI projects.
2. "Work with Business Analyst on analysis and logical design.
3. "Perform complex SQL coding to facilitate reporting and testing
functions.
4. "Modeling using IBM Cognos BI Framework Manager and Transformer
to support mission critical reporting initiatives including all layers of the
model and package development.
5. "Securing the Framework Manager and Transformer models for data
level, object level and package access security.
6. "Create advanced reports using IBM Cognos Analytics 12, which include
but are not limited to several pages with conditional formatting and
joining multiple queries to produce a single dataset for the requested
report.
7. "Complete testing of all reports, dashboards and analytics in all
environments prior to business owner review/approval.
8. "Transfer knowledge to other Cognos users creating their own reports in
person and using electronic technologies.
9. "Provide troubleshooting and end user support and problem resolution.
10. "Research and develop solutions utilizing new product functionality to
integrate into Human Services Cluster business deliverables.
--- Required Qualifications ---
" 84 Months of Experience in using SQL for analysis and reporting including
conditional formatting and joining queries sourced from multiple tables or
views
" 84 Months of Experience testing reports, analytics, troubleshooting, problem
solving, documenting and presenting data challenges to stakeholders
" Bachelor's Degree
" 84 Months of Experience working in social services or related fields
" 84 Months of Experience in business requirement gathering, analysis and
logical design; translating issues both in oral and written communication
" 84 Months of Experience in creating and modifying Framework Manager
models.
" 84 Months of Experience in creating and modifying reports using COGNOS
tools
