As a Systems Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team developing and deploying a state-of-the-art ground operational system. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into robust system designs, support software and system integration, and ensure solutions meet mission needs.
Responsibilities:
Translate customer and mission requirements into architecture, design, and interfaces.
Decompose end-to-end system requirements and coordinate with development and test teams.
Support system/software design for cloud-based and ground-to-space communication systems.
Apply systems engineering best practices throughout the system development lifecycle.
Contribute to modeling, simulation, and analysis to support mission operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (Masters degree + 6 years experience acceptable).
8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience. Agile experience preferred.
Knowledge or experience in ground system design, satellite communications, or mission tracking.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, MATLAB.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like CAMEO or MagicDraw a plus.
U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain Secret clearance within a reasonable time.
