Description

Meet the Team:

Join the Autonomous Driving Kit (AD-Kit) Systems Team, where we design, source, develop, build, and deliver a highly scalable Autonomous Driving Kit (AD-Kit) system. Your role will make a significant impact on the future of trucking and autonomous technology as we look to Drive the Future of Freight. We are currently seeking a System Engineer who is enthusiastic about systems engineering and autonomy compute systems. This work is aligned to best-in-class functional safety and cybersecurity standards.

What you'll do:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Systems Engineer who will bring new ideas, optimizations, and best practices to the AD-Kit Systems Team. The Systems Engineer owns and drives the technical direction of the vehicle architecture aspects of the AD-Kit System. The team is responsible for authoring, maintaining, and analyzing technical requirements, and working across the product lifecycle to ensure stakeholder alignment and successful bring-up, testing, validation, and integration of the AD-Kit System. This includes, but is not limited to, embedded computes, data logging, power distribution, smart antenna, and all sensor modalities (radar, LiDAR, camera, microphone, etc).

  • Develop the core vehicle electrical hardware architecture for each vehicle program that meets functional safety and security standards.
  • Lead collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the architecture supports program requirements.
  • Develop variations of architecture to support HIL needs.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices and champion this with others in the group.
  • Perform problem-solving activities during design, prototype and production, driving root cause analysis and problem resolution.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree in a related field and 2+ years of experience.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Hands-on systems, hardware and software engineering experience.
  • Experience working with safety-critical and fail-operational control systems.
  • Experience with and strong understanding of automotive ECUs and methodologies.
  • Experience with Requirements Management Tools such as Jama.
  • Familiarity or experience with data buses such as CAN, PCIe, Ethernet, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, I2C.
  • Experience with high-speed signaling and signal integrity.

Bonus Points!

  • Experience with ISO 26262 standards and ASPICE and how to creatively apply these concepts to iterative design and development.
  • Expertise in establishing a robust functional safety case for L4 autonomous applications.
  • Experience with high-speed signals on PCBs such as PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR memory.
  • Experience with C, C++, Python and/or Linux.
  • Experience designing, executing, and documenting lab-based and/or real-world field tests.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to automotive electronics.
  • Experience with standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
