Job Description
Title: Systems Engineer II - Linux focus
Location: Miramar, FL or Melbourne, FL - hybrid - 2 at office / 3 offsite need local
Type: 6 month contract to hire
Notes
- Administer and maintain enterprise Linux servers with a focus on RHEL
- Perform patching, upgrades, system hardening, and OS lifecycle management
- Monitor performance, availability, and capacity across Linux platforms
- Manage security controls including SSH, SELinux, firewalls, PAM, certificates, and access controls
- 5-8 years of enterprise Linux administration experience
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) required
- Experience supporting Ubuntu and other Linux distributions
- Linux patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and security hardening
- Experience with VMware and virtualized environments
- Scripting/automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, or similar
Nice to Have
- CIS, STIG, SCAP, NIST compliance experience
- Cloud and hybrid infrastructure experience
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity support
- Red Hat certifications
