Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team in New York, NY!

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for an office of 50 employees and serve as an escalation resource working in conjunction with the IT Service Desk.  
  • Provide support for production applications and integrations used across the departments, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Configure and deploy Bloomberg Professional terminals; troubleshoot Bloomberg Excel API plugin issues; coordinate license transfer and hardware replacement.
  • Manage employee onboarding/offboarding tasks including Active Directory/Azure account creation and deactivation; equipment procurement including mobile devices, workstations, monitors and accessories. 
  • Manage SharePoint setup requests including folder creation, permission updates, audit requests, and offboard tasks. 
  • Deploy workstations, applications and security patches using 3rd party deployment tools such Ivanti or Ninite.
  • Configure Microsoft Intune mobile device management policies and profiles to secure and manage user endpoints.
  • Configure and deploy mobile device management (MDM) solution to endpoints using Meraki and Intune.
  • Participate in Infrastructure Azure upgrade projects including DC, DHCP, file and print server configuration, migration, and application testing.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings to communicate issues, concerns, and accomplishments.
  • Manage and address all local and network printing issues including configuration updates, consumable order, and repairs. 
  • Configure, test, and update video conference systems; validate audio settings to ensure best performance.
  • Monitor, respond to and manage server room environment tasks including building power, UPS supplemental cooling maintenance, and 3rd party emergency afterhours resource support.
  • Work with office managers to set up and relocate workstations, monitors, and peripherals for guests and transferring employees.
  • Manage and configure electronic keycard systems and security badges.
  • Partner with office manager and building management to address facility related issues affecting technology.
Required Qualifications:
Specific Knowledge and Experience
  • B.S. and/or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with Windows workstation and Windows Server experience. 
  • Windows 11/Windows Server 2019/Windows Server 2025/VMware/Horizon/SQL Server.
  • Office 365/SharePoint/OneDrive/Azure.
  • Microsoft Active Directory/Security Group/Single Sign On (SSO)/Duo.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, specifically Outlook and Excel.
  • AI integration and support Claude/Anthropic/Glean.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong ownership and follow-through.
Engineering Experience
  • 2–4+ years of hands-on experience working with Azure in a technical/engineering capacity.
  • Working knowledge of Azure VLAN networks, Azure virtual firewalls, Azure blob storage, Azure resources groups, Azure subscription, Azure SQL SaaS, PaaS, Azure Marketplace, Azure VDI.
  • VMware, vSphere, ESXi host upgrade and management experience.
  • PowerShell Scripting, sFTP service. 
  • Zerto snapshot and replication/Veeam onsite and cloud backup/Azure site recovery.
  • BGP failover strategy and testing.
  • Business Continuity Testing. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience and knowledge of investment management environment.
  • Experience supporting trading systems (e.g., Bloomberg, EZE, Geneva).
Salary: $140,000
