Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, support, and maintain physical security technology. The role covers access control, video surveillance, IoT, intrusion detection, and related security systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and configure complex technical security systems.
Provide specialized support to ensure reliable system operation and maintenance.
Serve as a subject matter expert for physical security management systems and applications.
Troubleshoot application, database, operating system, and network issues across PCs and servers.
Collaborate with database teams, network teams, and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues.
Support new system deployments and remediation of existing systems.
Coordinate implementation activities with project managers and physical security teams.
Ensure the quality of services delivered to application users, application owners, and IT teams.
Prepare status reports, meeting minutes, change communications, and outage notifications.
Train others on relevant systems and processes.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong technical knowledge of the design, programming, and troubleshooting of one or more of the following:
Card access systems.
Integrated security systems.
Hybrid IT-based video systems.
Related information technology systems.
Experience with the design, installation, integration, and federation of global access control and IP video management systems.
Experience administering integrated access control and CCTV systems, such as Genetec and AXIS.
Ability to troubleshoot across operating systems, server hardware, and network topologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide training and technical guidance.
Preferred Experience
Hands-on experience with the Genetec unified platform.
