We are seeking an experienced Systems Integration Contractor to support the design, development, migration, deployment, and operation of integrated information systems and API platforms. This role will focus on Apigee hybrid infrastructure, API proxy development, Kubernetes, cloud-native integration, and automation.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain integrated information systems across technical, IT, organizational, and documentation components.
- Migrate existing APIs and API proxies to the target Apigee platform.
- Develop, refactor, test, deploy, and troubleshoot Apigee API proxies.
- Configure and support Apigee hybrid runtime environments, deployment patterns, environments, and operational processes.
- Build and maintain shared flows, policies, flow hooks, target endpoints, routing logic, and fault-handling mechanisms.
- Conduct infrastructure engineering, implementation, integration, and operational troubleshooting activities.
- Support Kubernetes-based deployments, including cluster configuration, namespaces, pods, deployments, ConfigMaps, Secrets, ingress, and service connectivity.
- Create scripts and automation for deployment, configuration, environment setup, platform administration, and operational support.
- Work with project teams to manage data migration, API integration, and open-source technology integration activities.
- Perform enterprise application integration, gap analysis, technical assessments, and benchmarking.
- Integrate REST and SOAP APIs with internal and external systems.
- Implement and support authentication, authorization, transformation, backend connectivity, routing, and API lifecycle management.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines, version-control processes, and release automation.
- Provide enterprise data management and collaboration tools that support integrated business and technology processes.
- Document architecture, configurations, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, and technical decisions.
- Collaborate directly with cross-functional teams in an Agile or iterative delivery environment.
- Participate in technical reviews, testing, defect resolution, production support, and continuous improvement activities.
Required Qualification :
- 10+ years of experience in systems integration, API engineering, platform development, infrastructure engineering, or a related field.
- Expert-level experience with Apigee hybrid and/or Apigee X.
- Hands-on experience migrating API proxies to Apigee.
- Strong experience developing and supporting Apigee API proxies, including Policies, Shared flows, Flow hook, Target endpoints, Routing and transformations, Fault handling, Authentication and authorization, Environment and deployment configuration
- Strong understanding of Apigee hybrid architecture, runtime components, deployment patterns, environments, and operational troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in a production or enterprise environment.
- Understanding of Kubernetes clusters, namespaces, pods, deployments, ConfigMaps, Secrets, ingress, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Linux-based environments and scripting for deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, pipeline-based deployment, version control, and release automation.
- Strong understanding of REST and SOAP web services, API integration patterns, backend connectivity, and API lifecycle management.
- Experience integrating applications, data sources, infrastructure components, and organizational processes.
- Ability to diagnose complex integration, deployment, connectivity, and runtime issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical delivery team.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with containerized application deployments and infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, Docker, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools.
- Experience with API gateways, service meshes, enterprise integration platforms, or cloud-native middleware.
- Experience supporting large-scale API modernization or platform migration programs.
- Familiarity with automated testing, API testing tools, observability, logging, and monitoring.
- Experience with data migration, data management, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Experience working in Agile, DevSecOps, or product-oriented delivery environments
the expected pay range for this contract assignment is $50 - $60 per hour. The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
