Systems Security Engineer

Responsibilities: of the Systems Security Engineer: • Design, implement, and maintain security controls across enterprise systems, networks, cloud environments, and virtualized infrastructure. • Engineer and optimize threat detection, monitoring, and alerting capabilities utilizing SIEM, EDR, and security automation platforms. • Support incident response and threat investigation efforts by analyzing security events, identifying root causes, and implementing remediation measures. • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to enhance security architecture, harden systems, and reduce organizational risk. • Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's overall security posture. Qualifications: of the Systems Security Engineer: • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure security, or security engineering roles. • Strong foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration, networking, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure. • Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, vulnerability management tools, and security monitoring technologies. • Experience supporting cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and securing cloud-native services. • Strong understanding of security frameworks, incident response processes, threat detection methodologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
