SYSTEMS TECHNCIAN 1

DUTIES

• Assist in the administration of the district inventory and asset management system.
• Collaborate on joint technical projects.
• Escalate technology issues as needed.
• Adhere to district technology standards and procedures.
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain technology related equipment and software.
• Instruct staff on technology related software and equipment.
• Provide support for technology issues within the district.
• Respond onsite and remote for technology related problem resolution.
• Assist in the intake, repair, and return of devices to buildings in a centralized repair model.
• Assist in the assignment and distribution of technology related equipment.
• Assist in the disposal of technology equipment.
• Relocate technology equipment within facilities as needed.
• Support the implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations.
• Utilize the district ticketing system to document and account for time and resolution of work.
• Work collaboratively with all technology staff members and vendors.
• Work with management and other senior staff to highlight technology issues within district buildings and make recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver's license required.
• This position is required to frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds.

SALARY / VACATION

• Systems Technician 1 Salary: $46,350
• The position Systems Technician 1 promotes to Systems Technician 2 on the one year anniversary date.
• Promotion dependent on successful completion of a satisfactory performance evaluation.
• Starting salary for Systems Technician 2 position: $51,788 per the TEA Union Contract.
• Vacation: 3 weeks
