Job Title: Senior Marine Systems Engineer (Mid to Senior)

We are seeking a motivated Senior Marine Systems Engineer to provide critical programmatic support on-site at the historic Washington Navy Yard. In this role, you will collaborate with military leaders and technical experts to optimize acquisition strategies, manage sophisticated financial ecosystems, and deliver actionable data analysis. Key Responsibilities:
• Apply advanced theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to complex technical challenges.
• Link perceived fleet or mission requirements with concrete commercial, technical, and engineering applications.
• Design innovative products, shipboard machinery, and equipment, implementing improved ways to process and utilize critical raw materials.
• Develop cutting-edge materials that improve product performance and leverage rapid advancements in modern technology.
• Analyze environmental impacts of developed systems and strictly monitor human-system interaction parameters.
• Supervise production and testing environments, pinpointing precise root causes of mechanical/system breakdowns and conducting rigorous testing to maintain quality control.
• Formulate accurate labor, time, and material cost estimates required to bring complex engineering projects to completion.
Required Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Master's level degree in an engineering discipline is preferred).
• Security Clearance: Active Secret OR clearable (US Citizenship required).
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in root-cause breakdown analysis, systems engineering processes, and maritime engineering environments.
Experience & Career Tiering:
We are actively mapping candidates to the following corporate tiers based on experience: • Mid-Level Tier: Minimum of 4 to 7+ years of specialized engineering design, production, or maintenance supervision experience. • Senior/Principal Tier: 10–15+ years of advanced experience leading systems engineering portfolios, managing test and evaluation (T&E) environments, and directing major naval engineering programs.
