Our organization is partnering with a Michigan school district to hire a compassionate, student-focused School Social Worker for a full-time, campus-based opportunity. As a vital asset to the student services division, you will collaborate closely with educators, families, and administrators to design and implement meaningful interventions that drive student success. Further Details:
Direct Counseling: Deliver impactful individual and small-group counseling sessions tailored to student needs.
Assessments & Plans: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to formulate targeted social-emotional and behavioral intervention strategies.
IEP Synergy: Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical insights during multidisciplinary team consultations.
Crisis Response: Provide immediate, skilled intervention and support during critical or high-stress student situations.
Community & Care Coordination: Partner with teachers, families, and local community agencies to bridge gaps and streamline essential support services.
Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed, compliant documentation to meticulously monitor and report student development.
Requirements
- Masters Degree or higher in Social Work required.
- Experience in working within the MTSS framework.
- Prefer PBIS, CPI and Crisis Intervention training and experience.
- Experience in a school environment and in a center-based program preferred.
- Experience working with students with Emotional Impairments preferred.
- School Social Work Licensure/Temporary or Full School Approval for School Social Worker.
