    Position: Task Project Manager III

    Location: Columbia, AL

    Duration: 8 Months +
    Client: Southern Nuclear


     

    Southern Nuclear is seeking an experienced Task Project Manager III to oversee complex projects and field activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, schedules, regulatory requirements, and nuclear site standards.

     

    This role will track project progress, coordinate resources, support field execution, and perform observations of work activities to verify safe job performance and compliance.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    ·       Manage assigned projects, tasks, and field work from planning through completion.

    ·       Track schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, resources, and deliverables.

    ·       Coordinate engineering, maintenance, construction, operations, vendors, and site personnel.

    ·       Perform field observations to verify safe work practices and compliance with approved plans.

    ·       Identify project risks, delays, resource constraints, and corrective actions.

    ·       Maintain project documentation, status reports, action items, and closeout records.

    ·       Support outage, containment, and major equipment replacement activities.

    ·       Communicate project status, priorities, and field concerns to leadership and stakeholders.

    ·       Ensure work complies with nuclear safety, quality, regulatory, and site requirements.

     

    Required Qualifications

    ·       10+ years of experience managing projects or tasks in the energy, utility, power generation, or nuclear industry.

    ·       Strong project planning, scheduling, coordination, and field execution experience.

    ·       Experience managing multiple stakeholders, contractors, and technical workstreams.

    ·       Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in field environments.

    ·       Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    ·       Previous experience as a Supervisor, Discipline Lead, Project Lead, or Task Director at Farley Nuclear Plant.

    ·       Experience with Reactor Coolant Pump replacement projects.

    ·       Experience performing or managing field work inside containment.

    ·       Nuclear outage, maintenance, construction, or major modification experience.
