Are you a detail-oriented, analytical and experienced tax accountant? Do you have a passion for the mortgage industry and a knack for navigating complex tax scenarios? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a Permanent Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role will allow you to leverage your skills and experience in income tax to drive our business forward. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals and play a crucial role in our organization's financial operations. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review tax returns and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
2. Perform detailed income tax research and analysis to optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
3. Collaborate with internal teams to understand and address complex tax issues related to mortgage transactions.
4. Provide tax planning and advisory services to the organization.
5. Monitor and interpret current and upcoming tax legislation and advise management on its impact.
6. Conduct tax audits and handle tax disputes, liaising with tax authorities as needed.
7. Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies to support business objectives.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documents.
9. Assist in financial forecasting and budgeting processes from a tax perspective.
10. Provide training and guidance to other staff members on tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in the mortgage industry.
3. Proficiency in income tax accounting and a solid understanding of tax laws and regulations.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex tax issues.
5. Strong computer skills, particularly with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
9. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. A strong commitment to ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
