Tax DirectorOur client is a global technology and engineering firm specializing in asset integrity management and industrial inspection solutions. It operates across more than 100 countries and partners with clients in energy and industrial sectors to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of critical infrastructure.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities include:Corporate & Regional Tax LeadershipServe as the primary U.S. tax lead and liaison with global finance and tax leadership.Implement global tax strategies, policies, and governance frameworks at the regional and local levels.Provide structured insights, analysis, and recommendations on tax risks and opportunities.Ensure timely escalation and resolution of material tax matters.Tax Operations & ComplianceOversee all U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance processes in alignment with global standards.Partner with finance teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely filings.Monitor tax law developments and evaluate implications for the organization.Tax Risk Management & ControversyIdentify and assess tax risks, supporting mitigation strategies.Lead tax audits and manage controversy matters, including coordinating responses and resolution strategies.Support tax provisioning and risk reporting processes.International Tax & Transfer PricingSupport implementation of global transfer pricing policies.Coordinate documentation efforts and assist with audit defense.Provide input on cross-border transactions, intercompany arrangements, and restructuring activities.Tax & Finance PartnershipCollaborate closely with finance leadership to ensure accurate tax reporting (ETR, cash taxes, provisions).Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making with tax insights.Translate complex tax matters into business and financial impacts.Business Partnership & Strategic SupportAct as a trusted advisor to business and operational teams.Support M&A, expansion, and other strategic initiatives from a tax perspective.Contribute to cross-functional projects requiring tax expertise.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
