    Position: Tax Director

    Location: Wakefield, MA

    Duration: Full-time

    Description:

    The company is seeking a Tax Director with 7-10 years of experience in non-profit tax services to join their team remotely. The role will involve overseeing the firms tax policies, ensuring compliance with tax statutes, managing tax returns, and minimizing tax obligations for clients. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts, and requires a strong leader with excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Tax Planning & Compliance: Provide tax planning and compliance services for high-net-worth individuals, estates, and trusts.
    • Multi-state Tax Filings: Manage and perform multi-state tax filings and tax accruals for clients.
    • Client Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing industry expertise.
    • Team Management: Lead and mentor engagement teams, train and mentor tax associates.
    • Tax Strategy: Develop functional tax strategies, set objectives, and create budgets, policies, and procedures to support the firms infrastructure.
    • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with applicable tax statutes, monitor reporting, and plan tax activities to minimize tax obligations.

    Qualifications:

    • CPA certification is required.
    • 7-10 years of experience in non-profit tax services.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client relationship management skills.
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Experience with ProSystem fx Tax, BNA products, and CCH Intelliconnect is desired.
