HLB Gross Collins is currently seeking Spring 2028 and Summer 2028 Tax Interns to join us at our Atlanta, GA office.The internship position is a general introduction to a tax “busy season” at a premier, mid-sized Atlanta accounting firm. During the internship, you will have opportunities to learn and grow in multiple aspects of public accounting by applying skills and knowledge obtained during your college courses. You will collaborate with a team of professionals to help clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will benefit from hands-on work with a broad range of clients to gain valuable real-world experience.DAY-TO-DAY OPPORTUNITIES
Work on a variety of client engagements in various industries
Prepare state and federal tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other businesses
Identify and assess domestic and international tax matters
Research tax laws, rules, and regulations; analyze their application to engagements
Review data entry to reconcile technical tax issues
Research business and industry trends to assist in proposal development
Develop proficiency with various tax software
Grow and learn under a dedicated mentor
Collaborate and network with staff, managers, and partners
QUALIFICATIONS
Junior or Senior pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
Major and overall minimum GPA of 3.4/4.0
Curious about learning new things, and proactively seeks guidance and feedback
Takes on challenges and sees tasks through to completion
Willing and able to work additional hours, as needed
Proficient computer and technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Ability to provide excellent service to every client
This internship is geared towards students interested in acquiring more knowledge about a specialization in Tax, or students looking to secure a competitive edge for a future Tax Staff position.We make a strong effort to hire students who would fit well with our firm’s culture and client focused goals.
Spring Internships begin in January and end on or around the April tax deadline. Summer Internships begin in June and end early August.
