    Tax Internship

    Responsibilities

    Prepare federal and state income tax returns.

    Organize and prepare work papers for tax returns.

    Perform tax research and learn tax laws.

    Work effectively with staff on assigned projects.

    Demonstrate the ability to perform responsibilities in a timely and effective manner.

    Exhibit a professional, cooperative attitude when working with others.

    Qualifications

    Above-average proficiency in Excel and Word.

    Excellent interpersonal skills when working with staff and clients.

    Basic knowledge of accounting principles and business.

    Completion of or current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in accounting. A Master of Science in Taxation is highly valued.

    Self-starter, dependable, and works well on a team.

    Passing one or more CPA exams is highly valued.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
