Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

  • Lead tax planning initiatives designed to optimize the organization's tax position.

  • Research and analyze complex tax issues and provide recommendations to management.

  • Review income tax provisions and support financial statement tax reporting.

  • Coordinate and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization.

  • Develop and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for tax staff.

  • Support special projects, acquisitions, business initiatives, and other strategic activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA required or strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.

  • Experience with tax compliance, tax provision, and tax planning activities.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax software platforms.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting.

  • Experience with multi-state, corporate, partnership, or international tax matters.

  • Leadership or supervisory experience.

  • Exposure to ERP systems and tax technology solutions.

Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
