Location: Holmdel, NJ

Overview

A national advisory, assurance and tax firm is seeking a Tax Manager in Central New Jersey to support its Commercial Services industry group, which serves middle-market and growth-oriented companies in the consumer, hospitality and manufacturing and distribution sectors. This is a hybrid role with in-person collaboration on average 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and tax advisory engagements for commercial services clients
• Determine resource requirements and work with the team to deliver exceptional client service
• Manage team expectations and monitor engagement progress
• Review partnership and corporate tax returns for accuracy and completeness
• Research complex tax issues and filing requirements using the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury regulations and other authorities
• Draft tax technical memoranda and share knowledge to develop team members
• Identify opportunities to expand the scope of current engagements
• Participate in proposal development and take a lead role responding to requests for proposal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's in accounting or taxation preferred
• CPA, JD or EA required
• Minimum 6 years of relevant tax experience
• 2+ years of managerial experience
• Current experience with commercial services clients
• Strong tax research skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and client service skills
